Century Man ‘Marauder’ on itunes
‘Century Man’ have just released their punchy indie anthem, Marauder’ on itunes to buy for the small price of 0.75p. I’ve been a big fan of the boys for many years now using their music in Vodcasts for Galaxy FM as well asking to use their track Mirrors to accompany my commercial showreel on the front of this website!
I employer you to have a listen to their music and if you like their swaggering indie sound as much as me, get online and download them for your ipod via good old itunes.

On the weekend of the 29th and 30th of May Tom and myself have been invited to the Wychwood Music Festival in conjunction with Viewfinder Film Festival, to screen a selection of our short films including ‘Long-Standing’ and ‘Spirited’. After the films there will be a brief Q and A session to anyone who manages to last through the night and attend the 11pm screening. Schedule.
The festival itself has a great line up including Super Furry Animals, Supergrass, Dub Colossus and The Wonder Stuff to name but a few and will be held at Chetlenham Racecourse.

No commentsPre production begins on ‘Stained’
So the script is near enough signed off with it currently sitting in the hands of The UK Film Council, meaning we can finally gear up towards pre production.Â
The first point of call will be to tackle the task of casting and I was really excited last week to confirm that Nicci Topping will be casting ‘Stained’, after being introduced through Tony Dixon of Screen Yorkshire. Nicci has an impressive CV and is such an enthusiastic and talented individual, its a really honor to have her onboard. Check out her company website at www.toppscasting.co.uk
The second task will be to secure a prison location, a daunting and challenging prospect especially given the tight budget. We shall be shooting most of the movie in this location and it will probably end up being the big spend of the project. We have however had a few leads, with one location up North needing further investigation. If you do know anywhere worth looking at, please let us know at: tom@issueseven.co.uk
I shall also be spending a day or two with Ronnie Thomspon over the next two weeks learning, researching and generally stealing all his prison knowledge to help make this a truly real representation of prison life. I shall be twittering the day away so follow either @LewisAEA or @RonnieThompson for updates.
No commentsCasting Director onboard for ‘Stained’
Nicci Topping of Topps Casting, a very talented and enthusiastic Casting Director, has come onboard to bring together the cast for new short film, ‘Stained’. Lewis and Tom are really excited at the prospect of working alongside Nicci and are relishing the challenge of putting together a great cast in the next month.
The Digishort funded by Screen WM and The UK Film Council is now due to be shot towards the end of July with Pre production picking up momento.
No commentsSofa Shoot
You may have happened upon a red sofa wondering the streets of Birmingham this week, and if so, you more then likely witnessed the handy work of Aquila TV.Â
This is was as, this week, we ended up lugging a red, three piece sofa around Birmingham for a very long two days. The filming was for a new Vodcast with Global Radio and the video stars Galaxy FM’s breakfast DJ Katie Poulsom. The vodcast will be launched in August at Galaxy Birmingham and is currently in post at AquilaTV.

The most egotistical directors chair EVER!

No commentsRTS Futures, NMA & much more to come!
We’ve been busy filming and editing an array of work for Aquila over April and have more on the horizon for May.
Firstly we spent April supporting the RTS Futures launch in the Midlands by producing VT for their first event, ‘How to pitch’. The event was a great success with a sell out crowd filling out the The Electric Cinema in Birmingham.
Check out the highlight edit available at http://www.rtsfutures.org.uk/ as well three ‘How to pitch’ videos containing exclusive tips from the panelists at LewisAEA.
Panelist Johannah Dyer from HotBed Media, Top Pitching Tips.
Also last week the crew filmed at The National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire were Prince William attended the War Memorial Gardens to launch the NMA Future Foundations Appeal. With exclusive access the crew followed the Prince as he explored the gardens and delivered inspiring and gracious speech to VIP guests attending the ceremony about the NMA future.
We shall be putting some clips onto the Aquila site in the coming days.
