Clusta
After meeting Clusta at The Local Shorts Club in Birmingham we have recently finished our second  job with the Birmingham branch.
The latest of which, a interactive website for Dooley’s, which went live last week and is avaliable at http://www.letthegoodtimespour.com/ .  We were bought in to film the live footage of ‘Cheryl’ on BCU’s Green Screen alongside Clusta’s creative team. Shooting on the Sony XDCAM and keying in Nuke by Steve Ellis of Clusta, the final results are very impressive.
Our second collaboration is a very exciting project which combines live action, Motion graphics and 3D CGI in an explosive showreel for The Media Foundry. Again we were bought in to help film and capture the images but the magic is being finalised by the team at Clusta and we hope its online to show you very soon!
Keep checking back!

No commentsStained, Ricci Harnett and Steve McQueen’s ‘Hunger’.
This week we have our first Digishort 09 meeting with Screen WM to discuss ‘Stained’. It will be the official launch of pre production for the film and as of Friday 20th March we will know, roughly, when we plan to shoot. We will also be receiving more development notes and words of wisdom from The film Council which will be very interesting having not spoken to them since the pitch.
This meeting follows three days of Digishort workshops organized by The Script Factory over the last weekend of Feb. Here we got to meet more Digishorters, most of who had been on the scheme last year, alongside having some great lectures and one on one time with industry pro’s like Rachel Robey (London to Brighton) and Larry Sider.
I must say the standard of shorts seems really high this year, with a lot of the filmmakers having some truly great ideas! Screen Yorkshire is one to look out for as Tony Dixon has put together a really interesting slate of projects this year!
We also meet with Ricci Harnett this week during a catch up with Ronnie and Colin in London. Ricci is a great talent who we want to play the part of Jamie, our leading character! You couldn’t ask for a more genuine, talented guy, who is very honest and straight talking. He is a huge fan and friend of Ronnie and it was great to talk to him about the part and his potential involvement.
It was during this meeting Ricci recommended Steve McQueen’s debut feature, ‘Hunger’,  a prison movie about the Northern Ireland Hunger strikes. Having a weekend to catch up, I caught the film on DVD Sunday evening and was blown away by how bold and beautiful the direction and cinemtography is. If you haven’t already, buy it and watch it, it’s really inspirational!
I was also slightly relieved to be honest that this powerful British prison movie doesn’t focus on any of the main themes and issues explored in Ronnie and Colin’s screenplay ‘Stained’, meaning we still have a unique USP to shout about!
Can’t wait to get into the locations and really begin visualizing this film! Bring on Thursday…
